Know before you go
- BLM has tightened rules — many former 'free' areas now require fees or are closed.
- Sand Flats Recreation Area is $5/day, $15/night, with services.
- Pack out everything, especially human waste; this place gets hammered.
- Reservations now required for some Moab-area BLM in peak season.

- Willow Springs Road is first-come; arrive Thursday for weekend.
- Klondike Bluffs to the north is quieter than the south side.
- Moab has full services, gear shops, breweries.
- Sunrise at Arches and Delicate Arch is a different park entirely.
